Residents of Berkshire Apartments are really good people who respect their neighbors. They are responsible and honest in their agreements and take pride in caring for their apartments and the grounds. At Berkshire Apartments, we truly believe we have become the essence of our slogan, which is "Berkshire - A Better Neighborhood for Better Neighbors."
Qualification standards to rent at Berkshire Apartments are simple and fair. They are as follows:
Each adult occupant must submit an application and receive a Washington Landlord Association Tenant Fitness Rating of at least 500.
Gross monthly verifiable income must be equal to or greater than approximately three times the monthly rent (which is currently $995 to $1050, depending on updates).
A favorable credit history without excessive financial obligations. Ability to pay full deposit and rent when due.
Be able to furnish acceptable proof of the required income (such as W-2s, pay stubs, and tax returns)
Good references regarding payment, employment, housekeeping, property maintenance, consideration of neighbors, and proper notice from previous Landlords.
Limit the number of occupants to 2 per bedroom.
Compensating factors that may be considered for applicants who fall short of above criteria may include additional requirements such as additional deposit, rent paid in advance, and/or a guarantor.
If you don't meet all of these criteria, don't worry. Just give us a call or email us from the Contact Us page and we can discuss your unique situation to see if we can identify some compensating factors to make it work for both of us. As family-owned apartments, we can be more flexible than managers of large apartment complexes.
All units are offered without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, familial status, sex, sexual orientation, honorably discharged veteran or military status, status as a mother breastfeeding her child, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability.
